“Marble Garden: Biophilic Design” Invited Competition for Young Architects – Winning Proposal Notch by PIN Architecture Installed at Silkar Plaza in Istanbul, organized by Akdo.

AKDO announces the winning design of the “Marble Garden” architectural competition for young architects under the age of 40 focused on Biophilic Design using AKDOLAM, an innovative marble product developed by Silkar Madencilik that facilitates the efficient integration of marble into architecture and design projects. The winning proposal was “Notch” by PIN Architecture of Istanbul that was chosen among 5 proposals that included the firms DM Architects, kpm, Melike Altınışık Architects and Super Eight Studio in the “Marble Garden: Biophilic Design” invited competition for young architects working in Turkey. The winning design was built using AKDOLAM marble products as a natural material through the methodology of Biophilic Design in an indoor lobby garden to be installed at the Silkar Plaza in Bayrampaşa, İstanbul. The Marble Garden design “Notch” by PIN was constructed as an indoor pavilion and garden as an ecological space for living integrating marble with natural vegetation in office lobby.
