Natural Stone Sink Collection Produced Using Robotic Machining

Miguel Herranz designed a natural stone sink collection using robotic processes to bring out the elegance and purity of the original blocks. Bringing a breath of fresh air to the traditional white oval washbasin on a rectangular counter or column, the 'Essence', 'Flow' and 'Erosion' collections appeal to impressive spa-like spaces where modern bathroom spaces are transformed.

Stating that stone and water are sources of inspiration, Herranz says that the design process makes it possible to create conceptual tools for realistic solutions by analyzing the elements of culture, industry and society, as in every project.

'Essence' collection utilizes primary forms that emphasize the power and volume of natural stone by changing the standardized form of the sink. For 'Flow', Herranz has created a lightweight washbasin with a recessed base that allows it to be applied on countertops just 35 cm deep, making it an ideal solution for small spaces. On the other hand, 'Erosion' collection, the beauty of the stone is emphasized with a sculptural gesture that evokes the movement of water.
