Marble Bench on the Brera Showroom Facade

After numerous gravity-defying marble flooring collaborations since 2010, Nendo's minimal style now defines Marsotto's new Brera Showroom in Milan. The Japanese designer creates the magical and hidden entrance that divides the solid marble facade into two, revealing the redesigned interiors. The new facade also supports changes within the neighborhood, as the street will soon turn "green", pedestrianized, and turned into a small park. That's why the wall has a soft recess, like an improvised piece of street furniture where people can sit and relax.

Nendo revamped Marsotto's entire Brera Showroom interior. He emphasized the superior processing techniques of marble by displaying the ground floor furniture, various items and samples. The centerpiece forms a mesh-like partition made of marble that covers the stairs all the way to the basement. The tempered transparency and lightness reduce the impressionability of the marble while emitting a glow that attracts visitors to discover more.

Basement is spatially structured for visitors to enjoy the marble manufacturer's finished creations. There is a stage divided into four sections, each of which is of different sizes, created by joining three white surfaces perpendicular to each other. From the furniture of the seesaw table to the black stools in the marble installation in 2018, many designs are exhibited in the designed spaces.
